I’M ACCEPTED!
Congratulations! You will soon receive a confirmation email from Issimo, and payment will be processed accordingly.
One week prior to the market, you will receive a stallholder set up email. In your set up email you will find your stall number, floor plan, stallholder set up guide and a flyer to use on social media to advertise the event.
Please note: While we do our best to accommodate stall location preferences, we cannot guarantee specific requests. Stall placements are determined based on product type and any special requirements, such as the use of racks.
WAIT LIST
If all sites are full, you will be placed on our waitlist. Should a stall become available, we will contact you directly.
We encourage you to reach out via email, especially during the week of the market, if you remain interested in securing a stall.
WHY WASN’T MY BUSINESS APPLICATION ACCEPTED?
Each market receives three to four times more applications than we have stalls available, which makes the selection process highly competitive.
Applications are carefully reviewed and selected to ensure a diverse and balanced mix of stalls. While applying early is encouraged, it does not guarantee acceptance. We prioritise variety to help stallholders achieve strong sales and take customer feedback into consideration. Having too many stalls offering similar products can dilute individual success, and our goal is for every stallholder to leave the event happy.
If your application was not successful this time, we strongly encourage you to apply again for future markets. A declined application now does not mean the same outcome next time.
RESTRICTED ITEMS
Please note that all products made from silicone or wooden beads — including dummy clips/chains, teethers, pram garlands, and similar items — must undergo independent safety testing in Australia in order to be sold at our events.
This safety testing must:
Be conducted within Australia
Include submission of completed items for assessment
Result in formal documentation verifying compliance with relevant Australian safety standards
We understand this process can be both costly and time-consuming; however, it is a strict requirement for participation in our market. Currently, only a small number of businesses have the appropriate certification.
If you intend to sell any of these products, you will be required to submit all relevant documentation in your application.
If you are unsure whether your items meet the required safety standards, please contact us before applying.
MARKET DAY INFORMATION
Stallholder access to the venue begins at 7:30am, allowing approximately one hour to set up. At 8:30am, the main entry doors will close, and no further items will be permitted to enter the venue from your vehicle. Please ensure all equipment and stock are inside by this time.
Punctuality is essential—stallholders who have not arrived by 8:30am will forfeit their stall. Unfortunately, no refunds or credits will be issued in this case.
What to Bring:
A chair
A second trestle table (optional but recommended, particularly for corner stalls, which can accommodate two tables)
During and After the Market:
Stallholders are expected to remain open until 1:00pm. Early pack-up is strictly prohibited for both safety reasons and to ensure all visitors have access to the full range of stalls throughout the event.
You will have until 1:30pm to pack down and vacate the venue. Please ensure your area is left clean and tidy. Garbage bins will be available onsite however cannot accomodate large items.
LARGE ITEMS
All large items must be displayed within your designated stall area. If you plan to bring several large items, we recommend using only one trestle table to allow adequate space. Your allocated stall measures 4m x 2m, and the supplied trestle tables are 1.8m long, leaving just over 2 metres of space for larger items.
Important Safety Guidelines:
Car seats must be under 8 years old to be eligible for sale.
Prams must meet Australian safety standards, including a red brake and tether strap.
We will conduct compliance checks before the market opens. Any car seat that does not display a manufacturer’s date or has been involved in an accidentwill not be permitted for sale and must be removed from the venue.
REFUND POLICY
There is a huge amount of background work that goes into making our market successful. Unfortunately, once payment has been made, the stall fee is non-refundable with the following exceptions:
You may transfer the stall booking into someone else's name. Note: Stall type (business/pre loved) must remain the same.
Cancellations more than 4 weeks out from the event will be eligible for a refund of 50% of your stall cost (not including fees) or a transfer to a date within the next 12 months.
Cancellations under 4 weeks are non-refundable and non-transferable
If you choose to transfer your stall (with the minimum 4 weeks notice) to a following date and cannot make the following market you will forfeit your stall fee.
NON ATTENDANCE
If you are unable to attend the market, please notify us as soon as possible. Advance notice allows us to adjust the stall layout and avoid empty spaces on the day.
For last-minute cancellations (the day before or the morning of the market), please send a text message (do not call) to 0411 980 615.
HOW DO I DISPLAY ALL MY ITEMS?
After lots of feedback from customers and stallholders we have made a list of the top things to consider when organising your items for sale.
You can find further information in our Stallholder Set Up Guide or see below for some tips and tricks.
The number 1 tip by far is CLEARLY PRICE EVERYTHING! Items without prices or marked as “make an offer” are much harder to sell. Customers may assume they are expensive, feel awkward asking, or worry about offending you with a lower offer.
Use clear tubs and clothes hangers. You can hire a clothes rack for $10.00 to display your items.
Sort clothing into sizes and sexes. Avoid overfilling tubs.
Highlight brand names. Many shoppers are specifically looking for brands like Country Road, Seed, La Sienna, Love to Dream, Bonds, and others. Make them visible!
Use signs or balloons to attract people to your stall. Fluro cardstock attached to the end of your clothes racks with clear labelling. eg- GIRLS BONDS CLOTHING SIZE 0-2 $5ea. If you have brand new items, ensure the tags are out so its clear they are brand new.
Do your homework on prices. Check Ebay, marketplace, Gumtree. Especially for the large items. Be realistic
Make sure all toys and clothes are clean and ironed (if needed). The better the present the more likely a sale.
Be realistic and flexible with prices. Remember, it’s better to sell than take things home again.
Expect bargaining — don’t take it personally. It’s all part of the experience.
If a customer is interested in a larger item, offer to hold it for them until they’re ready to leave.
After 11:30am, consider reducing your prices to clear out remaining stock.
Talk to customers! Ask what they are looking for. Lots of customers that come in the first hour are on the hunt for specific things.
Talk to your neighbouring stallholders. You will need them if you need a quick toilet break or something to eat! They also come in handy if you wanted to walk around and make some purchases yourself!
Last and most important- HAVE FUN!!!
