Hi! We’re Emily and Dylan the proud owners of the Geelong Baby & Children’s Market, and parents to two wonderful kids.
The Geelong Baby & Children’s Market began back in 2007 when two mums of multiples found themselves with quality baby clothes and toys that were simply too good to give away but nowhere local to sell them. From that simple idea, the market was born.
Over the past 18 years, the market has grown to feature more than 75 stalls and now runs quarterly in February, May, August, and November. You’ll find a fantastic mix of pre-loved and new (business) stalls, delicious food vans, and even an onsite ATM for those moments when you find a few too many bargains!
I first discovered the Geelong Baby & Children’s Market in 2017 when I was pregnant with my son. I was that keen shopper waiting for the door to open every single time! Some of my best finds included a brand-new in the box $300 Ergo carrier for just $30, and a seller who collected Bonds Wondersuits- all new with tags for $5 each (yes, even the famous confetti one- who remembers that craze?).
When I saw a post on Facebook in 2019 that the market was for sale, I couldn’t resist. Within 24 hours, it was ours! Dylan had never even been to a market before and wasn’t quite sure what I’d signed us up for, but he backed me completely. His first market was as a new co-owner, opening the doors at 9 a.m. and standing in disbelief as the line of eager shoppers wrapped around the car park.
Since then, we’ve made some amazing improvements. We have doubled the number of stalls and increased the customers through the door by 240%, always working to make the market bigger, better and more enjoyable for everyone.
Did you know? In 18 years we’ve only increased our stall fees once (in 2026) and have never raised our entry fee? We’re committed to keeping the market affordable and accessible for everyone. We are passionate about recycling and helping families get the most out of baby and children’s items that are barely used or still have plenty of life left in them.
